Our Vacation Recap

Well, we are finally home sweet home from our amazing vacation! While we had a wonderful time traveling, it feels so great to be back in our environment, getting ready for these last 3 short months to pass on by before our son gets here! So, there's lots of work to be done!

We started out vacation passing through Hattiesburg, Ms to visit my family. While we were there, we got to stay with my beautiful grandparents whom I had not seen in some time. They spoiled us with dinner at a nearby amazing restaurant called Movie Star and then cooked us an elaborate breakfast before we left.

Next, we went towards our destination-The Dauphine House Bed & Breakfast in the French Quarter of New Orleans. This house is said to be haunted, and has lots of history to it so we were totally excited!!

During our 4 day stay, we walked a total of 25 miles! That is a lot for an almost 7 months pregnant lady, but I enjoyed the exercise. I did allow myself to eat a beignet, a burger, a couple pralines, and some gumbo! This was our last trip before baby arrives, after all!

We also got to see the filming of the Will Smith movie called focus.

We went on a ghost tour in The Garden District of NOLA and got to see the homes of John Goodman & Sandra Bullock. My husband even saw a ghost! Creepy, huh? We strolled onto Canal Place and I discovered a new favorite store that we do not have back home in Destin-Lululemon! I was stoked. I even found a new favorite workout bra-The Ta Ta Tamer. Its a must have!

Most of all, I enjoyed getting away with my husband. We enjoyed the beautiful vintage tub and the huge comfy bed at the B&B, but most of all, we enjoyed each other.

BACK TO THE GYM AND OUR ROUTINE!

Here's some pics from our trip! Click to enlarge.

Audrey is one of my favorite photographer friends back home in Hattiesburg MS. She sold me a pretty toy while I was down :) See below!!

The Ruby Slipper of New Orleans-we loved this place so much that we ate breakfast here TWICE. This was an old bank building, which Bonnie & Clyde were said to have robbed back in the day!

Grey's first ghost tour!

The gorgeous bathroom tub of The Dauphine House Bed & Breakfast! Thanks Karen Jeffries!
